does anyone know if it’s possible to ‘import’ or combine decks in ankidroid? i certainly can’t figure it out.

On my phone I upload my decks to Ankiweb and then download them as personal decks, I’m not sure if that’s exactly what you are asking but that’s the easiest way of opening them I think, since then I don’t have to transfer them over a USB cable.

thanks! i’ve been manually adding everything to my phone this whole time… :/

i think i’ve figure it out mostly. one question though. for media (sounds, kanji) does it download those too or is that done separately?

Unfortunately it doesn’t sync sounds over, kanji works fine but it just won’t do media. For my PC & Mac I use Dropbox then for my phone I use Ankiweb syncing, at least the text all works perfect!

i just got dropbox to work with my phone (had to download two extra apps to make it easier in the long run though, dropbox downloader and io explorer)
so i think i’m good to go now! :)
