    Hello,

I’m from Brazil and I’ve been trying to learn Japanese since I was a kid, because my father is issei and my mother is nissei, and they both speak Japanese to each other or with some of our family members. But they always speak to me and my siblings in portuguese and that’s why I can’t understand it a lot.

When I was in highschool, the schedule was too busy. I had to choose between English and Japanese, so I chose English.

Well, since then I tried to study Japanese many times, but I just gave up at some point.I’ve had classes with a lot of japanese teachers and stuff and I know that it’s hard to learn with them.

I went to Japan last year for some months, I learned a lot, and came back excited to learn everyhting :P So, I hope this is really gonna help me.

And it’s gonna be more challenging because English is not my native language.

I was checking the textfugu, and I thought about jumping some parts because it was too easy, but I am reading everything.

The thing I liked the most is the motivation part.

I’m looking forward to be able to learn more and more.

    Thank you.

Hi Yumi, welcome to TextFugu! I’s great that you’re trying to reconnect with your family by learning Japanese. Where in Brazil are you from?

    Good luck with your studies!

    Greetings,

Delighted to have just stumbled upon this wonderful Japanese learning school.
I am from new York State
Hope there are enough beginners here to make my future questions little cause embarrassment!
