As the title suggests, I’m a student with a lot of free time as its summer for me right now. I’m currently halfway done through season 2 and I have started season 1 last week. I’ve looked around on the internet about learning a language too fast and all I saw were good for nothing advertisements about how to do so. The content seems relatively easy for now. (Though I can see kanji being more difficult than hiragana)

Anyway, should I refrain from doing so? If it matters I have also begun wanikani today and I really like the format of how it presents you the material.

Honestly, so long as you’re actually learning the material, it doesn’t matter how fast you’re going. However, if squishing chapter seven in your brain makes chapter one fall out, you’re probably going too fast. You kinda need to give it some time to sink in. =)

What does “too fast” mean for you? Finishing a season a week? Every two weeks?
I personally find that I need to vary up my speed a bit. When I notice that I can’t quite seem to remember everything on Anki, I slow down, give myself a couple extra days in which to only refresh what I already know. Then, 3 or so days later, when I have gone through all the Decks and all the important grammar, I start learning new things again for a couple days or weeks, depending on when I need to stop again.
