    Hello,

I am a beginner when it comes to the Japanese language. I am on season 2 – past tense nouns – and It says I need to learn 4 kanji in that lesson. (This is the exact lesson http://www.textfugu.com/season-2/past-negative-nouns/5-3/#top)

Anyhow, I am still confused. Do I need to learn both the On’ reading and the Kun’ reading? Do I only learn the first one? Do I learn both of the On’ and Kun’ readings? I am somewhat stuck. I don’t know what to do and I have been stuck on this lesson for about an hour. Help would be appreciated, thanks a ton! (,,,)(=^_^=)(,,,)

You need to learn both, but fortunately you don’t need to learn them in isolation – click on the kanji themselves, and it’ll bring up a new page with mnemonics and example words.
