    Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has done the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at N5 level and could roughly say at what point in the textfugu course would you need to reach to be ready to take the test?

    Thanks,

    Neil

Unfortunately since TF wasn’t created with the goal of completing the JLPT, you’d have to complete the entire thing, and then you’d still need to check with some of the JLPT guides to shore up a few things.

    Also, practice practice listening.

I did JLPT N5 three years ago, though I was also studying at uni, so I couldn’t say really how much TextFugu covered…

The current Textfugu is only going to prepare you for half of the N5, in my opinion…

I would have assumed that textfugu would get you to about N4 level based on what I’ve seen so far. But you would still want to use some sort of study guide to make sure you don’t have any gaps.

Tsetycoon13 has finished TF I believe.

Thanks for the responses guys. It sounds like it’s best to complete the whole TF course with extra study on top of that.
