So far we’re just exchanging emails. I get the impression she’s simplifying things for me because I have very little trouble understanding what she writes. There was one grammar point I wasn’t sure about so I asked. She explained and I ran across that same grammar point on Jpod101 that afternoon. lol. My emails to her are starting to get more complex but I run into the issue of not knowing enough grammar to say what I want to or knowing the grammar but blanking when I’m trying to write. It’s definitely worth the effort, though, once you have a basic grammar understanding. I won’t get better at writing if I don’t try…
March was one of my best study months ever, despite being sick for four days and studying very little on those days. 32 solid hours of studying in March and I pushed myself out of my comfort zone by starting to read adult level native materials on a regular basis. I can’t wait to see what April holds!
