Much like the sports thread that I started a few days ago, this thread can be used to share stories about Japan with each other. Aside from Tofugu which I check every day, I also read http://www.japanprobe.com/ for news. Japan Probe has some interesting stories and some are pretty funny.

The Tokyo government is relaxing it’s laws on only highly trained and qualified chefs being able serve the dish.
I’m on the fence whether to try Fugu or not. While I’m sure it tastes nice, the thought that some of the poision could still remain frightens me. Has anyone tried Fugu before. If so, how did it taste? Were you worried about any chance of poison being accidently left on the fish?
