Okay I realise this may make me sound like an old cat lady (I am… shhhh)… but I thought I might get some properly translated answers here!
I’m adopting two cats at the weekend, and due to their terrible names at the moment, I shall be renaming them!
I’d quite like to give them Japanese names (not sure how my housemates feel about this… tough!) but can’t think of many!
Does anyone have any ideas? They are both girls, one is all black and the other is sort of tortoiseshell.I like the word ときどき / 時々 a lot, so name one of them that!
Ahhhhh that’s also one of my favourite words! Didn’t think to use it in terms of a name, but it works well actually! Even translated it sounds quite sweet as a name.
That’s going on the list fo sho.Much better than ‘Cash and Carrie’ as they were previously known. Ew.
時々sometimes [insert verb]. I’m sure that’s going to be fun to say.
I used to have a couple cats named Kenji and Akina (both references from Initial D, loool), those were simpler times.

Name one of them Shamisen like the cat in Haruhi. :P

I always thought the black one should naturally be Garterbelt.Panty and Stocking/Scanty and Kneesocks/etc., regardless of the strange looks you’ll get when calling them, aren’t really that great names anyway :P
Toki and Doki sounds good to me :) Or how about calling one of them Maru, after the famous box cat hehe ;)

よしOooh thanks for all the suggestions guys! We’re waiting until we get them on Sunday to really decide, to make sure what we choose suits them.
At the moment, my housemates really want to call them Daphne and Celeste (anyone from the UK will probably remember the atrocious girl group… ) but I’m being stubborn ^^
I love the whole tokidoki thing… it’s so cute. Also been playing with the name Luna for the black one, as she looks a lot like the cat from Sailor Moon (lame I know lol).…I kinda like the name Luna, but then again, I used to love Sailor Moon lol (O.o)
Also, I thumbs up tokidoki solely based on cuteness ;)“Daphne and Celeste”… Will have to look them up.
Oh god, really vaguely remember that “Ooh” song now XD Not terrible names but definitely terrible music.@Index: lolwut?
