How many of you guys are taking the JLPT next week? And how many of you are gonna be at Lehman College at NYC?

Not I, but very interested in how it goes, what it’s like. Good luck.

    What level are you doing?

I was going to go for N3 this year, but life got in the way. I think I’ll double-bubble down and go for N2 next December. I probably won’t pass it, but I’d like to see how good I could do.

If you get a lot of N2 problem books, you’ll have a better idea of whats gonna be there plus just fill in the gaps of whatever you don’t know and you would have an entire year to do that. Not doing so would be like wasting your time (as it relates to learning Japanese).

Basically learning on the go, and you’ll have plenty of time to do that.

    What’s the point of JLPT?

If nothing else, it’s an official certification of your level of Japanese skill.

I pondered N4 this year, but chickened out in the end…

I got N3 this past summer with my buddy, and he is going for N2 this winter… but I decided to hold off till next summer. I’ll have more confidence by then.

Good luck to anyone who goes for it this summer!

Whoa it has been a while since I’ve posted in this forum. Hope you’ve been studing. :)Since then I’ve managed to get into 日本学科 here in Budapest, so I’m pretty happy. We are learning lots of interesting stuff about Asia and Japan.

I’ll be taking N3 this Sunday.
The environment will be familiar for me since I’m going to take it in my university, so at least I’ll feel a little more comfortable :p

One of the requirements to get scholarship to Japan is to have N2. Is it possible to get it in one year?

Good luck you guys too :)
