    Hellooo,

Most of you here probably won’t recognise me – unless you’re one of the veteran members who for some reason still hangs around here. I used to be pretty active back in 2010-2011 but my activity declined until it was nonexistent.

Anyway, for those who don’t know me – hi, I’m Kaona! I’ve been interested in learning Japanese since I was 11 years old and I’m currently 18 years old. I live in the UK and I’m currently in the process of applying to study Japanese at university which I’m super excited about! At the moment, I’m in sixth form studying A-levels in Sociology, Travel & Tourism and Leisure Studies plus a 1 year intensive GCSE course in Spanish.

Unfortunately, it seems Koichi has completely and utterly forgotten about TextFugu (can’t say I’m too surprised…) but hopefully the forums are still fairly active with people wanting to learn Japanese!

    Thanks Kyle.

Not anymore missing – she moved away in August last year. She did send me a copy of the Michel Thomas method (both the foundation and advanced versions) we were using but due to sixth form I haven’t really found much time to use them. Plus, I’m focusing on getting BBB in my A-levels as well as passing Spanish so I can get into the top university I want to go to as they require you to have a minimum of a GCSE grade C in a modern foreign language along with BBB A-level grades. However, I’m still in contact with her.

    Hi.
I actually don’t think Koichi have forgotten TF, he’s just busy I think. I remember he posted something some time ago on WaniKani about he was rewriting the whole thing, TextFugu, WaniKani and Etoeto. It should end up becoming something that can teach people from the absolutely beginning to a pretty advanced level in the end.

Not understanding how the British education works but I understand it as, get good grades, go to school with class that you want.
