Hi Guys,
I’ve been interested in and attempting to learn Japanese on and off for about 14 years. :) It all start with anime and of course a vast interest in the culture and ways of a country I have come to love and respect so much over the years. When I was young and expressed my interest in the language my grandmother gave me a book called “Japanese in 30 Hours” published in 1953 from her and my grandfather’s time in Japan. Over the years I’ve used it and online resources before stopping for about 6 years and in then in the last year I really picked it up again using Rosetta Stone (horrible the amount the things that have to be looked up but good for sticking in your mind) and buying a workbook for Hiragana and Katakana, and using Human Japanese for the PC and Android before finding Textfugu. I like the way the lessons are laid out here and am looking forward to the next lessons.
Kanji is definitely something that has scared me off in the past but with knowing most of the Hiragana and thankfully being able to read most of the ones that I come across on G+ and packages has been really nice.
So Konbanwa everyone and I look forward to learning with all of you!
