Hello! First, my apologies for not completing my profile yet, but I wanted to just create a post and get this thing started! My name is Jason and I am planning to move to Japan in 2 years after I get my degree. Im currently going for web design at Full Sail University. People can say what they will about it, but I am enjoying Full Sail so far!

But naturally I would love to learn as much Japanese that I can (at a comfy rate) before I move to that seemingly wonderful nation. I have been there once before on an 8 day vacation, and that confirmed my need to live there. I dont know much Japanese at all, but if any one would ever like to talk or ask me a question, please feel free!

    Welcome to TextFugu, Jason!

What a perfect time to start learning Japanese. Make the most of the time you have now with learning the language and hopefully in 2 years time when you look back on yourself you can be proud of how much you’ve achieved.

    Good luck learning Japanese.

Hey Jason, welcome to TextFugu! Good luck learning Japanese. Is that you at the Ghibli museum in your picture?

Jason – welcome and good luck with your studies! I’m sure you’ll make great progress over the next 2 years. :)

    Welcome Jason!

I too am looking to live in Japan after college. A healthy pace in Japanese is nice and recommended. I have slacked and am now paying for it.. Hopefully my independent studies on Textfugu will prepare me for my second and third Japanese classes at college.

What part of Japan did you visit? I’ve been there once before too in Sasebo (Nagasaki).
