    Hey folks,

I started with textfugu a couple months ago but I took a hiatus because I needed to focus on schoolwork/ finals.

I am moving to Osaka, Japan on august 23 for a whole 10 months of studying abroad, so I am picking up intensive language training again. I obviously don’t need to be fluent before I am there, and most people only know some phrases and all kana when they go through my school’s exchange. That’s because in school there we have a seperate system where you’re learning 8 hours of japanese a week.

my plan so far before take-off:
Use textfugu for an hour a day
    Continue with anki
Do some memrise here and there
I am also reading this book called “A tale for the time being”, which has a lot of japanaese terminology with the kanji and context, which is soooo helpful.

Nice to meet you all, peace.

Ooo, Osaka. It’s nice that you get to do an exchange.

You may want to gain at least a rudimentary understanding of the Osaka dialect before you go, though. =)
