I just had an odd thought; has anyone tried to improve their Japanese by reading a Japanese book on learning English? Not one for adults, something like a middleschool textbook.
Might give it a try if no one has already.
I do this all the time, but not with books, just with websites.
I often use websites teaching English, because what Japanese are wondering about English is usually the same as I am wondering about Japanese. Often just sticking 英語 behind whatever Japanese word or set-phrase you need to learn more about will give some decent links.
