Greetings & Salutations Textfugu members!

Your friendly, neighborhood Meba has arrived, and is ready to start learning Japanese! Actually… I just lied to you. I know a few things like hiragana, and some katakana, a few very basic kanji (big, tree, rice field, stuff like that). A dribble of nouns and, like, four verbs…. Needless to say, I’m the classic newbie. I didn’t get interested in Japanese because of anime or manga, but instead I made a Japanese friend. She got me into it, and I want to make her proud. The more I’ve learned about the culture and stuff, the more I’ve found myself intrigued. Now, my goal is to someday go and teach English in Japan, or at least live there for a year. I’m also just a language nerd anyway, and being bilingual would be an awesome achievement for me.

More about me, I’m a freshman in college, 18, and ridiculously petite. I’m about 4’10″, 94 pounds. Please don’t kidnap me. lol I really just take one day at a time, am friendly but sarcastic, and have a weird habit where I’ll dress up as a zombie at any chance I get. I love personal blogging, reading, creating art, writing, and wasting time on the internet.
