So I found a great website for memorising vocab!
    Its called Memrise! (http://www.memrise.com)
I don’t know if anybody else already uses it but basically, it’s kind of like smart.fm was but each word is a seed and the more you learn the words, the more they grow.
You also get points the better you do and get a rank for how well you’re doing against other people! :D
It’s actually really awesome and Im finding it’s working great for me, just thinking maybe somebody else can get some use out of it.
Unless of course everybody else in the world already knew about it except for me and Im making myself look like a fool :S
    Oh well! :)

Well hopefully somebody finds it as cool as me!

Well it’s news to me! Thanks for sharing. I’ll check it out.

Strange way of showing progress but it seems pretty cool. Does seem to have some weird issues with insanely wrong audio (looking at N5 vocab, audio for ashtray plays for radio), displaying characters and appropriate definitions…

Hey guys, yeah it’s a lot of fun and works basically the same way as many other sites based on spaced repetition system algorithms like Kanji Koohii RTK or Smart.fm (iKnow) and Anki. However it gives you a really nice interface with full audio and it has a cute little garden visualisation which is basic atm but cute and I could definitely see it updating. Also it’s free unlike iKnow now.

Keep in mind it’s still in beta and many courses are still being worked on. I can’t say for other authors, but the problems I had with the N5 course are already fixed :P

I reviewed Memrise for Tofugu a little while back. I agree that it’s a fun site, but it seemed like it’s more of a SRS site that incidentally includes Japanese instead of a site dedicated exclusively to Japanese.

But as Sheepy mentioned, it’s still undergoing lots of changes; and hey – it’s free!
