Hello
I tried to post my introduction and I replied to another post. Since the posts didn’t show up, eventually I found out, that both posts were marked as spam :-I
What happend?
Is this way through profile the way to do it?
The first two I wrote right below the other posts. Thanks
SusanneJanuary 1, 2012 at 8:32 am #23207Well, I could post my postings finally.
This one I posted using profile and finally I tried to publish the other posts as well.
It worked out this time..But I’m still quiet confuesed what happend, why the posts were marked as spam.
January 1, 2012 at 9:35 am #23216Susanne, I have no idea about that. :( Sorry!
Maybe Hashi will have an idea?
January 1, 2012 at 9:49 am #23218Thanks for your answer.
Well, finally everything works fine, I can post either way. Actually, that’s the first forum I know of, who offers a choice :-D
Maybe the forum or probably, rather the server running the forum on, just needed this extra attention…
Even computers need that sometimes really bad ;->January 1, 2012 at 10:26 am #23221I just found out, that your thread, I tried to reply to, seems to have some serious problems
http://www.textfugu.com/bb/topic/have-you-blogged-about-a-trip-to-japan/That’s what I did:
I replied to your thread a first time, my reply ended up marked as spam by the system. When I got into spam, I could publish it, but it ended up in the wrong thread…
http://www.textfugu.com/bb/topic/im-in/page/2/#post-23195I tried to fix that, but couldn’t find the appropriate thread named “Have you blogged about a trip to Japan?” in the available drop box.
Just a couple of minutes ago, I tried to reply a second time to your thread. Also this reply got marked as spam again. It’s still there.
Thus, when I looked at the reply, I see, that the system doesn’t offer your thread but chooses the first available name. Guess what, that’s “I’m in…” ;-)
That explains why my first answer to this post ended up in the thread “I’m in…”
http://www.textfugu.com/bb/topic/im-in/page/2/#post-23195Since there was no appropriate thread to choose from, the system probably classified both my replys as spam…
This doesn’t explain though, why my first post was marked as spam by the system. This was my initial post. The reply to your post was my second post.Tell Hashi, he can look at the postings marked as spam and find a solution.
January 2, 2012 at 11:00 am #23301That’s really weird. For some reason, that “I’m in” thread has caused trouble before. I went ahead and closed the thread so it doesn’t get bumped again. It seems to be a magnet for unintentional replies :/
Susanne, I unmarked your reply in Cassandra’s thread as spam, so it should show up normally now.
Sorry for all the trouble! I’m not really sure why this happened but I think everything should be fine now. Definitely feel free to email me (hashi@textfugu.com) if if you have any more problems.
