Hey everyone! I’m new to TextFugu and self-study Japanese. I studied Japanese when I was 14 after visiting Japan. When I returned to the states after my 3 week trip, I became obsessed with Japanese culture, ate rice for breakfast, insisted on using chopsticks, listened to JPop… you get the idea. That was about 15 years ago and somewhere along the line I abandoned Japanese for French. Despite years of living in Europe and adapting to French culture, aspects of Japanese have always followed me and now I find myself at a time in my life where I’m open for the challenge of learning the language.
