Basically, I’m almost at the end of my Junior year in High School, and I need to start applying to colleges and such soon. I want to major in Japanese and either Chinese or Korean. The only problem is, there are only two colleges in my state that offer both Japanese and Chinese, Korean isn’t offered anywhere at all. One college only has 3 classes for the Chinese major and then you study abroad for a year to be advanced, while they have 4 Japanese classes and then a year of study abroad for advanced studies. The other college just got their Japanese program this year and are about to get a Chinese program. Not very good options… I was wondering if I might have a better option going to a college in Japan or something for 4 years since that might be a better option. I want to be and ESL teacher in Japan, and do some translating with either Chinese or Korean. Any ideas as to what I should? Are there any colleges in Japan that offer anything that I’m looking for?
