So, I’m in season 4, working on adverbs, when I came across “nouny adverbs”. In the lesson it says that some adverbs like “いっぱい” can be used as plain old adjectives. Does that mean that they conjugate like plain old adjectives as well? ex. “いっぱい” could turn into “いっぱかった”? Or do they have their own rules? Or am I asking this question too soon because he is about to cover this? Thanks in advance!

Well, いっぱい is a な-adjective (it’s 一杯 in kana) so the past tense is いっぱいだった, but otherwise yes, you can conjugate it, so long as it’s behaving as an adjective.

    Thanks Joel!
