So, I’ve been checking out Tofugu for a while now and thought about trying out the ‘textfugu’ learning program. After being so slack with my Japanese learning I thought, why not? Suddenly I’ve found myself $120 NZD shorter and writing a brief introduction about myself haha.

    So to start it off…
Hi, my name’s Mikhail. I’m a 20 year old Private in the New Zealand army.
I’ve been interested in Japan for about 2 years now after diving into the world of anime. From that simple interest stemmed an obsession with everything ‘Nippon’. During my basic training in the army, I kept a Japanese pocket sized phrase book & dictionary in my pocket for nearly every day of the grueling 16 weeks. Luckily, a friend of mine from back when I lived in Australia shared the same interest as I and we have started planning our trip to Japan for April 2015.

Hopefully, through the use of ‘Textfugu’ I’ll be able to speak effectively by the time I touch down in Tokyo next Fall (Spring in Japan).

    Yoroshiku!

Welcome! If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the forum.

If there’s one thing I can say about Textfugu, it’s that it will certainly help you become familiar with the language.

Welcome! I’m in Australia. Visited New Zealand last year. =D Don’t remember New Zealand ever using “fall”, though. =P

I’m familiar with Japanese. I can recognise it at a glance. =P

はじめまして! Feel free to stop by the forum even if you don’t have questions ^_^

Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.
