Howdy, my fellow textfugu-ians!
My name is Jonny and I am excited to be learning Japanese! I am in my senior year of college and Japanese has always been one of those things that I wished I could do! Anyway, after learning that one of my co-workers could speak Japanese (he’s in year two of the conventional approach), I was inspired to start learning Hiragana. He introduced me to a i u e and o, and I took off from there! I was lucky enough to stumble upon textfugu and have loved it ever since!
I just purchased my premium membership, so I’m in this for real! Hopefully I will eventually be able to understand manga and anime (without subtitles!?)! Anyway, I wish all of you guys the best of luck, and I hope to become quite involved with the textfugu community!Welcome to TextFugu!
It seems most of us have the goal of reading manga and watching anime. A noble goal if I do say so myself! ^_^
