Well, I’ve been lurking on Tofugu/TF since the beginning of the year, but I finally decided to sign-up and actually learn Japanese.
I’ve been interested in it for 10 years, but I kept putting it off. No more of that for me. :)

Welcome! What’s got you interested in learning Japanese? :)
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with Japan – the culture, landscape, architecture, media, fashion. Pretty much everything.
I’ve been wanting to visit since high school, but I didn’t want to go without having at least a grasp of the language. I’ve got enough miles through airlines to have my airfare free, so the only thing really stopping me is the language barrier, but I’m working hard and dedicating myself to it.
I’ve had some prior experience researching the language, so the first few chapters were review for me. I’m progressing pretty well.

My name is Jeremy; I’m new here as well, as of about 10 minutes ago. I don’t have any experience with the Japanese language but I share your fascination and I would love to visit Japan. I’ve heard great things about this website so I’m optimistic about learning.
