Hello, textfugu friends! I’ve just started learning the Japanese language. it’s rough, since I’m not very good at languages, but I’m seriously determined. I’ve always loved everything about japan. It actually started out way back when Naruto first came on TV, and I’d watch it with my mom. so i started getting into anime, and the culture, and all that good stuff. I would absolutely love to go there and see the big cities, and the shrines and all. I also work on cars for a living, and it’s really cool when i see a Japanese car that still has all the factory writing on it and such. so, I’d finally decided it would be really cool to read and write and understand what everyone is saying. I don’t understand why, but it just feels really great when i know i understand something that I’ve put an effort to, and not something that’s just every day learning that I’ve been raised with. Anyway, it’s good to be part of a community where everyone else is learning as well.

    Welcome to TextFugu!

I know what you mean. In school I wanted to learn everything except what was being taught! It was like I thought if everyone was learning it, it couldn’t be that interesting, LOL.

Check out this guide for using Anki 2 with TextFugu:

You can also use the following thread to track your progress and share your ideas/concerns when you finish a season (gain a level ^_^):
