Hey everyone!
So after finishing up season 2, I decided to create a sort of exam, to test myself. Then I just thought well, why not help everyone to test themselves?
So that being said, here’s the download link to the test.
I’m currently also working on an answer sheet, so if you want your answers checked, just send me an e-mail with the attachment or reply on this thread :)If there’s any questions, also don’t hestitate to ask me anything.
PS: You can do this test if you’re at season 2+. If you’ve just finished season 2 it might be a very good, but also quite hard test to do. There’s nothing more than season 2 stuff in it though.
PPS: It does contain some katakana I just realised. I studied this individually so, you can just skip that part. To calculate your mark you should just subtract 10 from the total of 150 you divided your score with.猫は可愛いです!June 3, 2015 at 4:45 pm #47967Not bad. Admittedly, there’s one or two bits where your grammar is… a little off. Also, I don’t think you should be testing romaji as late as season two.
Also, might be easier to determine one’s score if you included the answers. =P
June 3, 2015 at 9:59 pm #47972Yeah you’re right. Initially it was just for me to practice and revise everything I’d learnt so far. The reason I posted on here was really just to get advice / correction and to share with other people a summary of this season.
Also, can you tell me where exactly I made mistakes? Is it because I haven’t learnt how to say certain things yet, or am I just stupid? :P
If it’s a lot of them, you really don’t have to show me all of it.
I am after all still learning and everything I do is a learning process. Thanks for the feedback :)
猫は可愛いです!June 3, 2015 at 10:45 pm #47974In question 8, for example, some of the sentences would work better with が rather than は. Question 9.2, ひろゆきさんのしごとはいしゃです。 is an odd use for しごと – you’re saying “his work is doctor”. I also think it’s a tiny bit odd to have りんご as one of the options, AND use it in another sentence. And that should be 子供 rather than just 子.
I think you misspelt おじいさん twice – “My (someone else’s) daughter is my father’s father” doesn’t really make sense. =P And 7.18 has an extra ん. Also, Koichi’s name in hiragana is actually こういち. And who on Earth is Torricha-san? =P
June 4, 2015 at 5:39 am #47975You see and this is exactly why it’s nice to have someone else’s view on it :P In the heat of the moment you always make mistakes you can never see yourself. Of course it’s not ”my job is doctor”. And about the 子供 thing, I thought 子供 was plural (children) rather than what I’ve learnt to be 子 (child). Also, really? Did I write こういち wrongly? I’m just a stupid guy I guess… :P
Onto the next chapter I shall say! :)
猫は可愛いです!June 4, 2015 at 1:13 pm #47983While 供 is a pluralising suffix, 子供 is singular – etymology, or something. Or at least as singular as Japanese nouns can manage. “Children” is 子供たち.
