Hey there guys, got a problem with an example sentence in Textfugu:

    えいが を み に いきたかったら ”Cineplex” に いきたい です。

    Which is translated as:

If we go to see a movie, I want to go to “Cineplex.”

Now, it has been a while since I studied たら on textfugu but I made a deck with all the sentences and started studying it today and found this sentence. My problem is that, shouldnt this sentence be:

    えいが を み に いきたら ”Cineplex” に いきたい です。 ?

I dont understand the いきたかったら word, can someone explain to me why its that and not 行きたら? and what does いきたかったら means?

Yeah, there’s issues with that sentence. That’s not it, though. =P

いきたかったら is the -たら form of いきたい = want to go – the translation should be “If we wanted to go and see a movie, I want to go to Cineplex”. The -たら form of いく, incidentally, is いったら.
