    Hello all,

I’m just going through the sentences on the practice page of the は chapter in season 2, and confused about how they read 七 in 十は七じゃありません. In the audio file it is pronounced なな, however I thought that しち meant seven and なな was when you were counting something? Is this a mistake or am I missing something?

    Thanks

The only time I’ve seen it pronounced しち is when it’s next to another Kanji in a sentence. I think it’s usually pronounced なな if it’s the number by itself OR when counting.

Someone more experienced than I might have a better answer for you. (I’m not much further along than you, I’m afraid.)

七 is a bit of a weird one in that its readings tend to be fairly interchangeable.
