Hola amigos y amigas; I look forward to my grande adventure with all of you.
EDIT: Oh, wait, what? This is a Japanese learning site? Well, shi-… time to get my 120 bucks refunded.Kidding, kidding, in all seriousness, I’ve actually been meaning to learn Spanish Japanese for a while now. I had no idea how to go about it, heck, 4 years ago, I thought the entirety of the Japanese language was composed of kanji (oh, my silly, silly, silly high school freshman self). Known about Textfugu for a bit more than a year now, but I thought Koichi looked crazy and when Hashi was hired I thought, “I’m supposed to entrust my learning to a guy who’s always playing Starcraft?” HOWEVER, I decided to try out the free lessons over the past week, and now I think, “Koichi may look a bit crazy, but he can sure teach things, and Hashi may always be playing Starcraft, but you know what? I just remembered that I play Starcraft too.” Around 20 minutes before making this post, I bought my HAPPILY EVER AFTER FOREVER account after selling my collection of funny print underwear, and here I am, with the only kana in my stock of knowledge being ん and い (don’t ask why I only know those two). Happy to be getting started, and I hope to be pestering this forum for help soon.
Oh right, and according to that TED Talk referenced in the free lessons, none of you are supposed to congratulate me/wish me well on this studying, so kick some dirt in my face (not literally since I cry easily).
October 20, 2011 at 12:04 pm #19551HOLA amigo.
I feel a similar discomfort in Koichi’s looks. Not that it’s crazy, but because it eerily parallel’s that of my older brother. I mean do you ever see people around and think “holy crap you look just like (so and so)! Where the heck is my twin in this world?!?” Well Koichi’s is my brother.. and sometimes it is awkward.
Anyway, I kick the congratulatory figuratively-speaking-dirt in your face! Welcome!
October 20, 2011 at 1:39 pm #19555I was ready to post a “Uh, dude – this is a JAPANESE learning website.” but then I actually read this and lol’d. I was only 1/2 expecting this to be a joke though so good one to you, sir.
I wish I had a RuneScape friend. >_> Or maybe I should move on to Starcraft…
Anyway, welcome to TextFugu and good luck learning Japanese! *kicks fairy dust into yer fayce*
