I’m looking for a USA source for those notebooks with 100-200 squares per page, used for kanji practice. Thanks.

Best bet is online unless you happen to have something local. Depending on your city, you may have an Asian stuff store, that’s usually where you’d find it if you’re going to find it anywhere.

(the top one is a pretty popular one)

    Hope that helps!

Do you have a printer. Perhaps you can use this site http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/genkoyoushi/

Thanks and thank you for the link. The Free Plagiarism Checker should also come in handy!

I was glad to find some at my local Mitsuwa Marketplace, in differing box sizes, so I bought one designed for little kids (with some overly かわいい cover and drawings on it) as well as what look to be more high school size boxes, from Campus. I cannot resist Japanese pens, so I had to buy a few, too. Heisig made me do it, the bastard.

What does one mean by “Japanese Pens”? Like just a fountain pen? Or is there some sort of specific Japanese pen that writes a certain way. Because if there is a pen that can make my Hiragana and Kanji look more like a real person wrote them and not a monkey that would be sweet.

Look here for a little insight. There’s a precision and nifty quality to pens sold in Japan. Most of the best ones aren’t marketed in the West, so you have to look specially. Can’t help you with the monkey thing.

I always love to go to Ito-ya in Ginza, when I’m in Tokyo. I love the pens they got there ^_^
