On the following page, (http://www.textfugu.com/season-2/being-possessive/practice/#top) the sentences have sped up to be nearly un-recognizable. This could be the normal pace of Japanese speaking. I don’t know, but these sentence replays are so faster than that of the previous pages (and Anki downloads) that I can hardly recognize the words. I hope this is a small “glitch” and not the way the recordings will be from now on. If that speed is normal, then I guess I will just do the best I can to get my ears up to that speed. Could someone please take a look or listen? Thanks.

    Sincerely, Paul

Sounds fine to me. Japanese is normally spoken fairly fast – compared to English, it has a low information density, so they need to speak pretty fast to get the same information out in the same amount of time.

Still, this is a good way to practice your listening – try to follow along with what she’s saying with your eyes. Or your finger, if need be.

Well, you’re probably right. But I did notice it again tonight as I was going thru all my Anki sentences. Textfugu Anki “Sentences 10″ seemed noticeably faster than “Sentences 09″.
“Seemed” is probably the key word. Thanks.
