I’m reading a book at the moment where the characters sometimes use ~rin & ~chin name suffixes.
I’ve not seen these before. Can anyone explain them?
AnonymousThey aren’t actually suffixes. They’re probably nicknames for the characters. It’s a cutsey thing.

I assumed they were as they were used after a character’s name.
chin is a common suffix i’ve heard used mostly just for young girls (more cutesy than chan)
as for rin, I can’t say I’ve heard it used as a suffix, but indeed sometimes as a nickname.
