I usually get 90% or above. The ones I get wrong I usually have to change the story, then it feels better. Tonight was bad though. :/ I think I’ll slow down. Retention was 76% because I think I was reading through them too fast.

I have a question… Has anyone used RTK for the Kindle? Would you recommend it? I’m thinking of getting a Kindle soon as I don’t want to buy ‘physical’ books as I relocate now and then and have enough stuff to cart round with me!
    Thanks ^-^

Lemur – My additions depended on how much time I had that day. I think the most I ever added at once was 55 cards. I just didn’t want to deal with the massive buildup in the SRS. Don’t forget that the faster you complete the RTK book, the more reviews you’ll have after it. I’m buried right now because I completed the last 1/3 so quickly. If you’re ok spending several hours a day just working through due cards, then by all means keep adding them quickly. But if you want to keep reviews down, it’s not a good idea to add so many new cards per day.

Emma – I used a physical copy of the book when I went through RTK. But I don’t see why a Kindle version wouldn’t work as well, so long as you are comfortable with e-books. Personally, I prefer a book in hand but that’s just personal preference. I never wrote in my RTK book, so…

Thanks for that. I think I will slow down a bit, so my brain doesn’t explode. ^_^ I actually have fun doing it, but I think if I keep adding too many it will get old too fast. I’ll probably stick with 50/day. I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not in a hurry to get it done.

I think I do about 10 to 20 Kanji a day depending on when I do them. I do them randomly too which helps throughout the day. One when i wake up, the other after lunch, one when ever really. At the moment I tend to learn Kanji along with Textfugu and watching Japanese movies. I see no rush in it! It’s fun so i’m savoring it lol! Point is = Go with the flow! :)

RTK ebook is fine by the way! I have the ebook of it. :)
