Hi! I’m Lorenzo (재민). I have spent half my life in America and half of my life in Korea. I’m excited to be studying Japanese and to get to know some of you.

I’m learning Japanese because it’s important to be able to speak multiple languages in business in Asia, and it’s closer to Korean than Chinese. Everyone in Korea tells me how it should be easy for me to learn rapidly. I don’t know if that’s true, but I’m going to see what happens. Hopefully it will also enable me to be able to conduct some business (or at least show some degree of respect to my hosts) when I am in Japan.

I am also excited to visit with friends who are living in Japan and get to know their friends who only speak Japanese.

안녕하세요. 박재민입니다. 인생 반 정도 미국에서 지내고 나머지 한국에서 보냈어요. 일본말을 공부하는 것에 정말 기뻐요.

아시아에서 외국어를 알고 알수록 좋을 일 밖에 없어서 일본말을 공부하기 시작했습니다. 한국에 있는 친구들이 항상 말을 했어요. 일본말을 배우면 된다. 쉽다. 쉬운 것인지를 모르겠지만 한번 시도해봐야죠. 일본에서 일을 할 때 혹은 방문할 때 어느정도 존경하는 모습을 보여주면 상대가 좋아할 겁니다.

무엇보다 한국 친구 몇명이 일본에서 거주합니다. 그들을 방문할 때 그들의 친구를 만나서 이야기하면 재미있을 것 같다고 생각합니다.
