Hi Everyone!
My name is Wit and I’m from Bangkok, Thailand.
This is my second attempt at learning Japanese. The first time was back when I was in Grade 9th taking a Beginner Japanese course at a Thai University. Needless to say that I failed miserably. Back then I blamed the teacher and the archaic teaching methods, but now I blame myself as well. I’ve never made much progress with the languages that I’ve tackled; Chinese, French, Spanish. Probably because I gave up too soon, I lose interest quickly when I don’t make any progress.
Now I am fired up again, Japan is now quite vital to the success of my career. So learning Japanese is now a priority in my future plans. I mean I have learnt Thai which is a really peculiar language with 44 alphabets, 15 vowel symbols (which goes in the front, back, above, and below the alphabets), and 4 tone marks. Not to mention the grammar. So I think I can wrap my head around Japanese.
Currently I’m only starting TextFugu and learning Hiragana; only managed the first 5 for now ;P. I have been to Japan many times since I was a kid, so I can get by with basic conversations (“kore kore” while pointing that things I want, haha). I’m going to Kyushu for the first time on a business trip!
Nice to meet all of you guys!
