Hi guys, I’ve been following Textfugu up to this point with no issues but now I’m completely confused. Specifically this page:

Now I’ve gotten to the part where it asks me to load up my first Kanji vocab into Anki, which I’ve done and suddenly it’s throwing all these words in a mix. Some that haven’t been brought up in the lesson and some that have. Have I missed these other vocabs somewhere? For example it throws ground and person Kanji together and I’ve never seen it before. So I’m not sure how it’s expecting me to know it 0r pronounce it.
Perhaps I’m being stupid and I just have to go through them in Anki until I know them, but it’s sort of disappointing if that’s the case. Any ideas?

OK So I found out that other people are confused too in the forums :) It would be nice if Koichi explained that he was going to use the person counter, instead of leaving us all confused :P At least I’m not alone on this, I can move on now :)
Wait, what was the problem? Is he not just giving you new words to learn?
Yes but he also put new Kanji e.g. 二人 ＆ 一人 which hadn’t been described, so it was a little confusing. It also took my a little while to realize the difference between Kanji & Kanji Vocabulary. :)
Yeah it took me a while to realize that too. It gets worse later on in the season though. Regarding the On’yomi for 川 textfugu says “Why waste brain energy on a reading you won’t use for a long time” then the first thing Anki wants for it in the Kanji list is the On’yomi. The time it took me to download and import into Anki was not a “long time.”
XD Good point, I didn’t notice that contradiction.
Haha I’m glad I wasn’t the only one confused by this. :) Then later on he throws 七人 at you and I was like lolwut.
