Hello everyone! I’m a homeschooler and a language enthusiast from the U.S. I’m currently studying German and Dutch, and seeing about picking up Japanese again after my first attempt to learn it a few years ago. I got interested in it at first because of anime, but I’m also fascinated by it because it’s both pretty and very different from all the romance and germanic languages I’ve studied. I’m really trying to stick to it this time, so I hope to see all of you around!

Supposedly Japanese is different from every other language, and linguists aren’t entirely certain as to why. Coincidentally, though, it does bear a few similarities with Turkish.
