Hey guys, can anyone help me translating this title from a newspaper?

    ソニーが中国で1月からゲーム機を売る

I understand that: On January, Sony will sell a game console in China. But I’m really unsure if it says that, mainly because of the が particle and because I dont understand why it is a “new” that Sony is going to sell a game console (without soecifying it) in China, those things make me suspect I translated anything but the real meaning

id say the translation is correct. sony, in china, in the month of january will sell a game console is near enough the exact translation of that phrase, which bit are you confused about and is there some context in which the console itself would be more apparent ?

I’m confused about the meaning itself, not a particular part . It doesnt have a context because its the title of a new an it should express itself what the new is about and so I doubted my translation when my translation didnt make much sense as a new. A different story would be if it said something about the new game console or whatever.
But thnks for clarifying that my translation was correct

    Sony – ga – China – de – january – from – game machine – sell.
Sony to sell game machine in China from January.

If I remember the article it is because of new legislation making it possible to sell in China from January. They’re not selling a new machine, but just the PS4 and Vita I think.
