The textbook told me to introduce myself. Hello!

I’m already a member of WaniKani (same name) and I had amazing success with that. I usually have a lot of trouble motivating myself and WaniKani is like motivation MAGIC! But I ran out of money so I haven’t done reviews in a while… =/ Now that textfugu is on sale + wanikani has lifetime membership, I decided to get them both so I will never have to worry about keeping up a subscription again haha, yay! I take my Japanese learning very slowly so I think a lifetime membership is worthwhile to me.

So now that I’ve gone and done that I think I’m going to make it a sort of new years resolution to pick up my Japanese learning again and keep up at it. The first way is to get started here =) I’ve been absolutely horrible at learning grammar. I was using Tae Kim but… it’s just a lot of info and I get bored and tired of it and put it off forever and I don’t practice what I read and yeah. I’m hoping textfugu has the same magic that WaniKani has. And if not then I hope EtoEto does when it comes out.

A little about me: I’m a NEET with a biology degree and a lot of free time… I like animals, drawing, anime & manga. Sometimes I video game. I spend a lot of time on tumblr.

My level of Japanese: I can already read all hiragana and katakana. I’ve done at least 10 levels of WaniKani so I know a good chunk of vocab and kanji. I know the basics of grammar but I haven’t done any intensive studying of grammar at all so, although I have tried many times to get into it. It seems like grammar is really going to be the bottleneck in learning for me.
I know enough in general that I can sometimes understand what characters are saying in an anime, if it’s not something too complicated.
