A few weeks ago I was asked what my bloodtype was, I didn’t know.
“You have to go to the doctor when you get home and check it as soon as possible!” is what I was told.
I was clueless as to why so I was explained that a bloodtype is like a starsign in Japan, a way of matchmaking.
After some online reading I discovered it’s a remnant of worser times when people were divided by bloodtype.
So when I got home I ordered a bloodtest from the internet. A few days later it arrived and I pricked myself and bled all over the place, after a few attempts I got a result.
O+
When I reported this the expected sigh of relieve never came.
“Oh ok, if you were B or AB it would have been funny…”
On paper I am more of an AB person, so I’ll just assume the test was wrong ;)Do you know your bloodtype ? Does it fit your personality ?
November 10, 2011 at 8:50 am #20695I’m O- and it doesn’t fit me since I’m selfish and hate others *evil laugh*
No soriously I don’t believe in that kind of things, well it’s not that I don’t believe, it’s really there is nothing to believe to begin with.
November 10, 2011 at 10:17 am #20698I found out my blood type when I donated blood a few years back. I’m apparently a B+, which I don’t think fits my personality at all, but I’m sure somebody super familiar with Japanese blood type stereotypes would be able to find something about me that fits in with the B+ personality.

November 10, 2011 at 12:54 pm #20700Indulge me ;)
I never said I believed it :)
I also sometimes read my horoscope, but I never buy a lottery ticket cos it’s going to be my lucky day ;)November 10, 2011 at 2:54 pm #20707What really affects your personnality is the alignment of the planets.
November 16, 2011 at 3:28 pm #20871As a blood compatibility and transfusion specialist, I perform a lot of blood types on a lot of people just about every day I work.
Not counting Rh factors, type O blood is easily the most common at about 42% of the population. I have a hard time believing that 42% of this world’s population are confident leaders.
Also, individuals of African or Asian descent have a higher probability of being type B than Caucasians and Hispanics.
November 16, 2011 at 3:31 pm #20872Interresting :)
Guess I’m a romantic. I just liked being compatible with her, even if I don’t believe the method ;)November 17, 2011 at 9:57 am #20915Technically speaking, if you are type O+ then you are compatible with most people. Type O is the universal blood donor.
