Hello,
I’m Rick from Tennessee by way of Michigan, by way of Kentucky. The thought of learning Japanese has always fascinated me, but seemed to daunting of a task. Well, we just found out that we will be living in Okinawa for the foreseeable future, so what better time than now to start learning, right?

I’ve pretty much got the hiragana and katakana down, and a few greetings, but everything else is coming along very slowly. I found this site and I’m hoping that it will assist me in the transition to life in a new country.
