Did some serious readjusting on my Japanese study habits. Since college, my studies have been completely spontaneous to even non-existent some weeks. Started a new Evernote (I feel SO much better getting rid of the old. It was driving me crazy) and plan to be much more consistent.

I feel VERY motivated again, so I’m taking advantage of this feeling; only this time around I’m going to focus more on grammar points instead of Kanji, as that has always been somewhat of a weak point for me. I find that vocabulary is much easier to stick in my brain than grammar, for some reason…

    Anyway, here I go. :]

Finished up the last of 3-Stroke Kanji and Chapter 4 of Season 3. Which got me wondering…

私は久しいが大好きはあなた。Is this the correct way to say that? XD

I was trying to say “I love you long time” because I learned both “big like” and “long time” that chapter… sigh! (it was worth a shot)

    I finished RTK 1!
And now, to learn kanji compunds and everything else at this lightning fast pace everyone who’s finished RTK seems to talk about.

I’m back from a 9 day vacation to the northwest US and am now buried in Anki reviews. lol. I tried to study while I was gone but my tablet doesn’t support Anki and I couldn’t force myself to suffer through AnkiWeb. Down to 800 cards due from 1200 but it’ll be awhile before I catch up. In the meantime, I’m plugging through jpod101 lessons and trying to make myself write a new lang-8 post. Maybe that’ll be my goal for tomorrow’s study session…

@larisajane: Were you trying to say “I’ve loved you for a long time.” or “ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME!!!”? :P

My guess would be 君が久しく大好きな (or maybe something with 長い間), but I wouldn’t know: I’m just a beginner ( ´_ゝ`)フーン

Completed another jpod101 lesson today. Down to 648 cards due in Anki. I’m going to try to take a stab at my first page of Bakuman tonight.

    Happy studying!

I’ve adopted a slightly slower pace, as me and my friends have been glued to Battlefield 3 lately. I’m still reviewing all my decks every day, today I went through the colours chapter, and tomorrow I’ll start season five. I’m actually quite comfortable like this because moving too quickly through chapters is bound to make me forget things, I’m also reading the Tae Kim grammar guide.

I posted some sentences on Lang-8 earlier too, as I wanted to practice using some kanji, using でも+けど and making compound sentences. I made very few errors on the 5 sentences I put up, 2 of them passed with flying colours!

I finished 樹のおつげ, which is the last children’s book I have. The lack of furigana didn’t turn out to be a problem after all. Next up is Read Real Japanese Essays. I also finished all the Soseki stories in Breaking into Japanese Literature, and now I’m reading the Akutagawa stories.

I’m still working with the Core 6000 sentences, but only for listening comprehension / kana dictation practice.

@jkl: You’re really flying through all these books, aren’t you! :D With the amount of reading you’re doing, you’ll be awesome in no time! ;)
