Thanks Cassandra!
Father in law started his third round of chemo yesterday so we’re back in the hospital. :(
I’m sorry to hear that. I can sympathize with your father in law because I actually had chemotherapy myself when I was around 8-10 years old because I have lupus. It was a miserable experience so I hope for the best.
Today, I read this

May 16, 2012 at 10:49 am #30857Resist!
May 17, 2012 at 5:09 pm #30915Missing – Sorry to hear about your Lupus. That is not fun. :(
I’m having a hard time fitting in even 20 minutes of Japanese a day. I don’t feel guilty about it, though, since I am trying. Today – 20 minutes, down to 2,185 cards due.
May 18, 2012 at 3:02 pm #30945Got in 20 minutes of Anki today. 2,113 cards due. I feel like I’m not making much progress but at least I’m maintaining the progress I’ve already made…
May 18, 2012 at 11:49 pm #30949lol this will end up being one long countdown thread xD You’ll reach 0 sooner or later if you keep at it :)

Just out of curiosity, which season and chapter did you stop studying at on TF?May 19, 2012 at 9:27 am #30954> I feel like I’m not making much progress but at least I’m maintaining the progress I’ve already made
To work through a large backlog, you might want to consider using settings like this:
* 2 new cards per day
* new cards before reviews
* review cards with shortest interval first
* 20 minute timeboxThat way you will spend the first part of your study session working on new/young cards, and whatever time you have left will go toward the backlog. Cards that already have large intervals are a low priority, because you probably already know them.
May 19, 2012 at 10:57 am #30956Someone buy this
and review it for me
May 19, 2012 at 11:54 am #30958I already bought it Thursday last week, and if I recall correctly I told you about it already lol xD should be arriving next week ^^

May 20, 2012 at 1:27 am #30980I have the book as well but I bought it a while ago and couldn’t get much use out of it so I shipped it back to the states with a bunch of other stuff to get ready for the move this summer. Hopefully by the time I see it again, I’ll be able to understand some of it.
There’s not much to say about it really that isn’t said in the description…A DVD with some interviews and a book with the transcripts and some vocab/grammar explanations to go alongside. My only complaint is that there was no audio CD or MP3s or anything of the interviews. I wanted to put them on my MP3 player so I could listen on the go and had to rip the audio off the DVD which is considerably more of a pain.May 22, 2012 at 6:42 pm #31080Got a new book today and straight from the author himself
