oosannshououmitainakaowomitennjaneeyoo!
Too bad I can’t use japanese on this computer :/
July 4, 2012 at 9:41 am #32785I finished Core2k now, starting 3k tomorrow. Aside from that just been reading bits of Tae Kim and looking at my book on particles, also started picking away at the reviews for my “completed courses” on iKnow. (mostly Core1k reviews)
July 4, 2012 at 11:54 am #32798Nice one, Kyle ;)
July 4, 2012 at 6:59 pm #32810July 5, 2012 at 8:54 am #32835I suppose this is the right thread for this question, but I was wondering if you guys have a particular method of note taking/reviewing/etc.
For example, when using TF, I write down the grammar points and some examples in a physical notebook, and I really prefer using physical flashcards to learn vocab/kana rather than Anki (though I use that, too). I use my “language log” on Evernote more for personal progress and reflection than actual Japanese language information (though a bit of that is tossed in for good measure). I also write down all kanji/readings/vocab in a composition book for reference, and I use that primarily for reviewing before using Anki.
I was just wondering what styles people use, and what they like about them.
July 5, 2012 at 10:41 am #32840Most of the notes I have are about particles so I write them up like this: http://i.imgur.com/efLah.jpg
I just like bolding stuff. I don’t write down any vocab or kanji, I leave all that stuff to iKnow.
July 5, 2012 at 11:43 am #32843I use Evernote for taking down notes from TF lessons. It’s convenient as it syncs by itself every few minutes and I can manually sync it myself too. I also have the Evernote app on my Android phone, so I can get up my notes and read through them if I need to.
I still haven’t bothered to practice writing Hiragana and Katakana. I’d rather spend the time now on more important aspects and learn to write later.
As for the personal progress thingy, I’m thinking of making a blog for that. Nothing too fancy or time consuming. Just something basic for now.
July 5, 2012 at 11:52 am #32845My notes consist of nothing but Japanese sentences that contain interesting grammar/words(from TV-shows or other places)
今日で見方が180度変わったわッw etc

July 6, 2012 at 9:14 am #32879Taeko Kamiya is also the author of my sentence patterns book! I bet the particle one is good too, I have “All About Particles” already though.
July 6, 2012 at 9:45 am #32882I have that same sentence patterns book too. Plan to use it when I’m done with TF. It’s being released again because it went OOP as the publisher had shut down.
I also have All About Particles as well as A Dictionary of Japanese Particles, and All About Particles.
