@Cassandra. Thank you for your words of, reconsiliation.
@Missing. Yessir, except for when using flashcards. Japanese media, is far too distracting.
Just trying to keep them doggies rollin…
June 10, 2011 at 3:07 pm #12462I just finished quizzing the last card on the Season 2 deck. Yippee! I have now seen every single card at least once. Pushed so hard today trying to get through the last few cards that I will have 190 cards due tomorrow night. Eek!
Not sure if I’ll wait to let these reviews die down or go ahead and start Season 3. I know Koichi tosses a TON of vocab at you right off the bat so it might be good to get my decks down a bit. *sigh* At least I’m current on RTK…
How’s everyone else doing today?

Excellent! Keep up the good work!
I’m still uber-cramming, but, its becoming more and more thereputic.HYA!
June 14, 2011 at 3:29 pm #12638This thread is dropping down the page! Today I did tons of Anki review and started the new lessons in Season 3. Yay! And I thought I had a lot of Anki cards due before. HA! The ultimate lists really are Ultimate.
SinisterT – good luck with your cramming!
June 14, 2011 at 3:48 pm #12642@Cassandra: ULTIMATE high-five! :D
That has nothing to do with you starting Season 3. Ultimate high-fives are just better than standard ones.
:3June 14, 2011 at 3:51 pm #12644LOL. Thanks, Michael. :D
How are your Ultimate lists going?
June 14, 2011 at 3:55 pm #12645Finally (possibly maybe) getting the hang of learning vocab… cramming in the last 4 verbs from the season 2 lists tonite!
June 14, 2011 at 5:41 pm #12649Let’s see . . . changed my native language on my computer to Japanese, so just about everything is in Japanese. I wrote a lang-8 entry and I’ve been doing Anki. After this I think I’m gonna play some Ninja Words Adventure, the best kanji game in the world. I need to restart from the beginning, though because I reset my iPod and stuff. D:
June 14, 2011 at 7:28 pm #12653It seems a lot of people are moving into season 3 now. Koichi’s going to have to start turning those “Coming Soon”s into “Came a Bit Ago”s.
As for me, I gave up on the Core series again. It was just to boring; I felt like going on a rampage after ten or so cards.
Still reading “スパイダーウィック家の謎” though and learning tons of vocabulary. Although it may not all be incredibly useful…I did hit a nice 4 kanji compound today though: 後部座席(こうぶざせき)- backseat
I wonder if they have the phrase 後部座席の運転者.June 15, 2011 at 4:04 am #12666@Cassandra: Finished Ultimate Verbs and Nouns (#1), just over halfway through Adjectives. I’m getting through adjectives a lot faster because I’ve decided to do 2 new groups mostly every night (before, I’d have a few days wait in between, but with adjectives there seems to be a little bit more of them I know already so I can go faster).
Once I’ve finished adjectives… I guess there’s more kanji readings to learn through TextFugu and I’m gonna start a TextFugu Vocab deck where the question is the audio (already got Jap>Eng and Eng>Jap decks). I don’t see Koichi getting the new lessons up very quickly so thankfully there is other stuff for me to do :P
June 16, 2011 at 2:13 am #12708I finally finished my uni semester! Time to get back onto Japanese hardcore!
June 17, 2011 at 6:06 am #12790I finished Season One tonight–it only took me a month and a day!
June 17, 2011 at 2:51 pm #12858Ya’ll are doing awesome. Rachel – congrats on finishing Season One!
Today I finished the “what you’ll go do” lesson on TextFugu. Also reviewed all cards due in Anki (a lot-274). Kept progressing through the Ultimate Verbs list.
Next week I have family staying at my house for five days for a wedding… I’ll probably just be trying to stay on top of Anki those days and not doing any new material. That starts Thursday… Would it be incredibly rude to ignore family to get in my study time? ;) I won’t ignore them but maybe I’ll get up earlier in the mornings. hmm…
June 17, 2011 at 5:04 pm #12861Well I finally got Anki on my iPhone which was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my Japanese study career… Finding a lot of empty time during my commute to review.
Now at home going to start sentence mining to get some good examples to make these hard to remember words a little easier…
June 17, 2011 at 9:10 pm #12870this is my studying for the day along with anki reviews that i left alone for a couple of weeks due to sheer laziness.
