Reading through the introduction of RTK, the author seemed to discourage using the textbook while taking a Japanese class… would that include TextFugu?

@Tom: We don’t have a date yet for the beta.

@kanjiman: I’d just shoot him an email. He’s viet both @textfugu.com and tofugu.com

@MisterM: I’d say WaniKani is more of a study method that uses the same info that TF does. I’d talk more to Koichi or Viet about it, since I’ve had pretty much zero involvement in the project (other than brainstorming names and testing).

Tom, I did RTK at the same time as going through textbooks and learning grammar. RTK alone would probably have got boring for me.

I just didn’t focus much on vocab until after I was done with RTK.

I did nothing but RTK and really regret it, I’d rather have taken longer to learn kanji while doing some grammar on the side. Oh well, now I can focus purely on grammar, it feels like I’m making progress again.

Ehrm… I guess I’ll post this here too in hopes of being read.

I was wondering if anybody has any edition of ‘Remembering The Kanji I’ that they aren’t currently using. I would really like to have the book in paper form for the duration of my study, but I’m really low on ‘study funds’. So, I was wondering if anybody would be willing to let me borrow one for however long it would take me to complete it (my guess is less then 2 months, as I’m a pretty dedicated worker).
