Well hello, everyone and two! Thru research within teh interwebs I discovered this apparent gem, and thanks to Koichi’s writing and presentation styles seducing my mind-grapes, I immediately felt compelled to join this revolution of language learning.

To state this as accurately as possible: I am a creative type (boo, snore, eye roll, I know) living in Los Angeles. Besides my love for American film and writing, I’ve long been fascinated and entertained by Japanese entertainment exports. I want to eventually write and create content for/within Japanese based media, such animes, manga, film, and game companies based or branched in Japan. 

While English suffices to write content of Western sorts, capably speaking, reading, and writing in Japanese will allow me to appropriately immerse myself within the entertainment industry of Japan, instead of having to always rely on translations which invariably remove many if not most of the nuanced written, emotional, and cultural characteristics the original writers intended.

And that was one helluva long sentence just now.

So I salute and give grand greetings to you all, and I look forward to many interactions while we gather to learn Japanese. A delicious time will be had by all, I’m sure.
