    While studying my verbs I’ve noticed that ‘to enter’ is hairimasu yet the kanji for ‘to enter is’ hairu can someone please explain the difference between these two?

    “Hairu” is the plain form of the verb, while “hairimasu” is the polite form. You’ll learn about the plain forms later on. =)
