    Hi all,

I just downloaded the ultimate verbs/nouns/adjectives decks and started on the nouns. But i found that they are all in kanji. I’m currently wrapping up the 5 stroke kanji, and a lot of these ultimate words use kanji I don’t know yet, which makes it kind of hard to study. Anyone else encountered this problem, or did you just go with it and learned the kanji by studying these decks?

Yup, I just kind of went with it and learned all the vocab despite the kanji. After all, although I may not know some of the kanji, it can only benefit me that I learn more vocab right?

When I did ultimate vocab you could enable the kana/kanji cards in the group options.

I don’t know if it has changed much now but I don’t recommend the ultimate decks, I thought they did a pretty bad job at differentiating between trans/intransitive and other words that are similar to one another.

Just started these decks as well. Not particularly bothered by the unknown kanji since I feel that I should be adding more kanji to my Japanese learning anyway. That said, I am taking these decks in slower than usual – 5 words a day at this point. Haven’t yet encountered the transitive/intransitive mix ups though there is some other editing that these decks might need as far as repeat cards in the verbs deck and miss-matched audio/hiragana. Hope there are not too many of these…
