First problem is when I reached season 4-8. Here he mentions using the ultimate verbs deck and then proceeds to use verbs not yet learned in the lesson: here. I finally found the deck for Ultimate Verbs (in the Downloads section) thanks to another post on this. Problem solved.

But now I have another problem: I can’t get the tags thing to work. I think the new Anki doesn’t work with kana since I can’t find the ます tag. But the Textfugu tag was also absent. As the instructions here say, I exclude all the tags it lists that I did find, but it still won’t take to it, saying “no cards match the criteria you provided”. It’s really frustrating. Maybe I’ll have to rely on the pdf and excel document instead.

What a disappointment.
