I’m 31 and currently living in Alabama. I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for about…three years, I think. Unfortunately I don’t have a very good attention span and I have too many hobbies. But with TextFugu I found that it’s been easier to concentrate on a little bit at a time, and I’m actually retaining stuff! ^_^

I’m learning Japanese because I’d like to play some of the video games that come out in Japan but never make it here. I own one right now: Ace Attorney Investigations 2. I’d also like to get my hands on Mother 3 and the PS3 version of the Umineko VNs (I probably lost half of you by now). I’ve already gone to Japan twice. Even though Tokyo is foreign-friendly, I’d like to gain a better understanding of Japanese by the next time I go there.

Oh, and I’m having fun watching Hunter x Hunter while I’m learning! You know the eyecatches with Hunter Vocabulary? I actually remember some of the hiragana that appears!
